We are gearing up for our first Pack meeting of the school year! Everyone is invited to join us Monday, September 20th, 7pm, in the Sanctuary of CCUM. All Scouts should be in their Class A uniform! Bear Den 6 will perform the opening/closing ceremonies. We will have volunteers available to answer questions about registration and joining our Pack. We plan to discuss the exciting events we have planned for Pack 889 and upcoming campouts. You won't want to miss this!
CCUM is Christ Church United Methodist, our charter organization. They are located at 6363 Research Forest Drive, next to The Woodlands High School. |

Cub Scout Pack 889 runs entirely by a group of parent volunteers who oversee the operations of the Pack. There are many positions that are available and it is not hard to do, just takes a little commitment and a lot of enthusiasm to help out!
We are actively searching for an Assistant Cubmaster, a Secretary, Treasurer, Advancements Chair, Popcorn Kernal, and Historian. Several of these positions are chaired through February, 2011. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the Committee, learn about what these roles involve, and be able to take over the position at a more relaxed pace, while still getting the full enjoyment out of participating on the Committee and providing a quality program for your Scout, family, and community! Please contact

SHAC Jam is the grand finale celebration in Sam Houston Area Council for the 100th Anniversary of Scouting.
This is one of the largest Anniversary events in the nation – a real “memory maker” for Scouts of all ages. While Boy Scouts and Venturers will camp overnight, there will be plenty of special activities for Cub Scouts and their families to enjoy on Saturday.
Click here for details about SHAC Jam and sign up for the event at the September 20th pack meeting. |
